Sweet 16 Book Challenge

Contest #1   The THS Library Learning Commons Sweet 16
Sixteen great books have been selected for students to read and evaluate using small post it notes creating voice recorded QR-Codes to be placed on the inside cover and title page for future readers.  The eight most selected/requested books will advance to the Elite Eight and the process will begin again to select the Final Four and the Winner's Circle.  The student who has read and written/created QR Codes for the most books on March 20th will win a four pack of movie tickets.  In the event of a tie, we will have a second winner.
Contest #2 Genrefy Me! The THS Library Learning Commons Passport to the Genres
Students are encouraged to explore the genres and record their impressions in their passport - journal.  I will be looking for and at QR-Codes, memorable quotes, dialog with a character and 5 sentence book reporting as just a few of the response types.  Students must produce their journal to be read/viewed and stamped when checking in the book in order to receive credit for the book read.  Up to four students who have read the most genres and their stamped recorded journals by May 27, 2016 will receive a four pack of movie tickets for their summer enjoyment on May 30, 2016.
Please encourage your son or daughter to participate in one of these contests during D.E.A.R - Drop Everything and Read  time in school and quiet time at home.

Dear Parents:

We are revising our teacher and administrator evaluation models and as part of this revision, we will be conducting an annual parent survey every spring to measure how families view school and district practices. Your responses to the survey will help teachers and administrators set individual and school-wide goals for improvement. To set a course for the future of the Plymouth Public Schools, we want to know what you think. Please click on the link below to give us your input. All responses are anonymous.

If you have children in more than one school in the district, please complete separate surveys for each school. Links to our other schools' surveys can be found on their websites.
