Terryville High School Transition Program
The purpose of The Terryville High School Transition Program is to support teens and young adults, ages 15 to 22, with disabilities as they move from high school to adulthood by building the skills they need to live as independently and successfully as possible. This program focuses on key areas such as employment, independent living, community involvement, and continued education or training. Through hands-on experiences, job coaching, life skills instruction, and collaboration with families and community agencies, the THS Transition Program helps students bridge the gap between the structure of school and the responsibilities of adult life. The ultimate goal is to empower students to achieve greater autonomy, self-advocacy, and meaningful participation in their communities.
